Giving
Back
I have not
been able to make much progress with forming my own
charity, but I wanted to share with you a place where you
can make small donations to very specific causes that you
are interested in. I recently gave a little to a fund
that will help teachers and students study the water
quality in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. You will
hear back from them personally to thank you for your
support.
The site where you can choose what you would like to
support is http://www.donorschoose.org
Dear Mr. Cannone,
Greetings of Peace and Love! I am so grateful for the monetary
help to assist my students in studying the water quality of New
Orleans waters. This project started last year. I wish to
continue the study this year so my class will have the data to
analyze in class. This year, I will emphasize the skill of
correlation study. The resources you provided to me is a
blessing. Thank you and I wish you well in your endeavors.
Sincerely, Sheila Lumod New Orleans, LA
Here's another great
organization:
My brother introduced me to an awesome new program that
is providing wheelchairs for many of the 25 million disabled
people in china, and people with disabilities all over the
world. You have to see how they are taking regular patio chairs
and converting them to free wheelchairs. A small donation can
build a wheelchair and provides mobility, and freedom for
someone who needs help. I just thought this was cool and wanted
to share it. For more info visit: http://www.freewheelchairmission.org/index.html
